The versatile plansifter - Siftomat
Working principle:
The working principle of the SIFTOMAT ™ can be very much compared to manual sifting. It practically copies the movement carried out during manual sifting. The SIFTOMAT ™ circular movement in the horizontal plane is generated by an eccentric movement of 30 mm stroke at 200 rpm. Animation (75kb)

Sifting of plastics granules is one of the specialities of Fuchs Maschinen AG, where the main difficulty is sorting the “longs” out of good products. Fractionating the Corn Flakes into four different size classes is carried out perfectly by a SIFTOMAT sifter.
The SIFTOMAT is regularly used in the pharmaceutical industry to carry out simultaneously checks and dedusting, where the product to be sifted is often changed. The easy and quick replacement of the sieves (e.g. for cleaning or autoclaving) is one of the interesting features of the SIFTOMAT sifter. Just four quick acting closures have to be opened. The lightweight parts can then be removed from the sieve case without using tools. Even the sifter box can be dismounted without using tools, for instance for sterilisation.
